Thank You for Supporting Humanitarian Prayers in 2018

Humanitarian Prayers was founded in January 2018 as a way to share personal prayer intentions with the public. I prayed daily for those affected by humanitarian crises and thought,

What if I can get more people to pray?

I believe prayer is powerful and makes an impact in the lives of those for whom we pray. Every additional prayer is one more prayer that God hears on behalf of those suffering most in our world. God loves to answer our prayers. I have seen many of my intentions come to fruition in 2018, while many have also not yet been realized. Some of the prayers that have been fulfilled include…

  • Praying for the end of family separations at the U.S.-Mexico border: Praise God that family separations were suspended by an executive order on June 20th.
  • Praying for peace in Idlib, Syria: Praise God that there has been a ceasefire that has been (mostly) kept since September.
  • Praying for peace in South Sudan: Praise God that in September the government and the main rebel faction made a peace plan ending the 5-year-long civil war and establishing a path for a government that integrates both sides.

Praying for the needs of the poor and vulnerable is something God’s people have done for thousands of years. Psalm 82:4 (NAB) reads,

Rescue the lowly and poor; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

The blog has also reached a much larger audience than in the past. When I started posting in January, my posts usually received 5 or fewer views. Now, my top five posts have received an average of over 90 views! Since creating a new website in June, Humanitarian Prayers has received nearly 1,000 visitors and over 2,000 page views, with more every month than the previous one!

With a little over 150 followers between Facebook and Twitter, Humanitarian Prayers has organically made over 100,000 Twitter impressions and reached individual Facebook accounts over 10,000 times. Like Humanitarian Prayers on Facebook, follow on Twitter, and subscribe to posts in this page’s footer or sidebar to continue to support its growth.

From myself privately praying daily, to having thousands or tens-of-thousands of prayers said for people all over the world is incredible! It is a major blessing that I praise God for!

Readers, thank you for your amazing support and your prayers! I anticipate continued growth, more prayers, and more peace on Earth in 2018! May God bless you.
